EAS VIETNAM INTERNATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP REGULATION 2022 -2025

(Promulgated in conjunction with Decision No. 596/QĐ-EAS dated 22/09/2022

of the General Director of EAS Vietnam)

 

Article 1. Purpose, Conditions for Candidateship and Scope

1. Purpose 

EAS Vietnam International Scholarships are given to students receiving education in Higher Leadership & Administration G23.0 study programs based on Global EAS IHHRM G23.0 Standard for International Higher Human Resource at EAS Vietnam, who are successful and have insufficient financial status.

2. Conditions for Candidateship and Scope

a. Conditions for Candidateship:

Both International citizens and Vietnamese Citizens listed in Article 2 and Article 4 of this Regulation can benefit from EAS Vietnam International Scholarship programs and policies.

b. Scope

This regulation is to regulate candidateship and application, acceptance, assessment, allocation and continuation principles regarding scholarship study programs of EAS Vietnam International University Outreach (IUO), EAS Vietnam International Postgraduate Studies (IPS), Commando of International Special Administration Officer (SAO) and other EAS Vietnam Leadership & Administration G23.0 study programs.

Article 2. Scholarship Programs

1. Global Multitasking Citizens Scholarship (IMC)

IMC Scholarships are granted to Vietnamese citizens only to train them to become  international higher multitasking human resources and leaders with high-career adaptability and responsiveness, working in an international multicultural work environment.

Conditions for Candidateship: For those Vietnamese citizens with full civil act capacity, who are studying or working in universities, colleges, organizations and enterprises, are introduced/recommended by their organizations.

Maximum Number: 200 scholarships.

2. International Policy Scholarship (IPS)

IPS Scholarships are granted to citizens, leaders or staff of Governments in low-income or developing countries to train them to become global leaders, global Higher Human Resources or Global Governance & Administration Policy Makers.

Conditions for Candidateship: For those citizens, leaders or staff of Governments in low-income or developing countries (according to the United Nations’ country classification), who are seeking to become global leaders, global Higher Human Resources or Global Governance & Administration Policy Makers.

Maximum Number: 200 scholarships (100 full scholarships and 100 90% scholarships included).

3. Chancellor Scholarship (ICS)

ICS Scholarships are granted to students who are excellent or with the highest ranked (valedictorian) from international and Vietnam universities and colleges. The scholarship program offers students theoretical and practical training and provides them with comprehensive knowledge of the leadership and higher human resource sector, based on Global EAS IHHRM G23.0 Standard.

Conditions for Candidateship: For those students who are excellent or with the highest ranked (valedictorian) from international and Vietnam universities and colleges or other students directly selected by the Chancellor.

Maximum Number: 100 full scholarships.

4. Global Leadership Scholarship (GLS)

GLS Scholarships are granted to Government Leaders, Organizations and Enterprises Staff and Officers, University/Colleges Lecturers and Tutors, aiming to future potential Leaders of Global EAS IHHRM G23.0 Standard working in international organizations and enterprises, who shall be awarded financial aid to enter International Higher Leadership & Administration study program.

Conditions for Candidateship: For citizens with full civil act capacity of AEC or CP-TPP Area, who are studying or working in universities, colleges, organizations and enterprises in Vietnam or abroad.

Foreign citizens in Vietnam are required passports valid for at least six months.

Candidates for programs in English are required to IELTS 5.0 or above (referring to the six-level Foreign Language Proficiency Framework for Vietnam by the Ministry of Education and Training).

Maximum Number: 1,500 scholarships (200 full scholarships and 1,300 partial scholarships included).

5. International Internship Scholarship (IIS)

IIS Scholarships are granted to citizens in general, focusing on training to high-quality human resources in practical internship programs in a work environment of Global EAS IHHRM G23.0 Standard responding to a growing number of needs and challenges of the international labor market. The graduates shall be competitive candidates in international recruiting. 

IIS Scholarship is for global citizens in general.

Conditions for Candidateship: University and college students in Vietnam and internationally who are introduced/recommended in a document by the Student Union.

Overseas University and college students are required to be eligible to enter Vietnam.

Maximum Number: 150 scholarships (50 full scholarships and 100 partial scholarships included).

6. Young Leadership Programs Scholarships (YLP)

YLP Scholarships aim to:

Provide financial aid for Student Entrepreneurs to enter entrepreneurship education and training programs, standardize competencies for leadership and management, and enhance business and personal system competitiveness around the globe.

Shape Entrepreneurship education and training trends for and support Student Entrepreneurs in personal branding, develop potential leaders in the near future.

Develop leadership and administration quality for Vietnam and areas.

Conditions for Candidateship: For citizens with full civil act capacity of AEC or CP-TPP Area, who are studying or working in universities, colleges, organizations and enterprises in Vietnam or abroad.

Maximum Number: 950 scholarships.

Article 3. Principles

  1. The Scholarship Allocation Process is regardless of nationality to any candidate,
  2. Scholarships are granted the right type to the right candidate and do not exceed the prescribed quota,
  3. Scholarships are granted to the candidates before training programs,
  4. Scholarship candidates are required to ensure the accuracy and updates to any personal data provided. Candidates receiving 70% scholarship and above are approved to enter the programs.
  5. Each scholarship candidate has a maximum application limit of two applications. If the first application failed, the second application shall be rejected or not above 80%.

Article 4. Conditions and Requirements

International citizens and Vietnamese citizens, who are in full civil act capacity and do not violate the law of any nation, can apply for EAS Vietnam International Scholarship.

Scholarship Candidates are ranked according to three criteria: Positive attitude with clear dreams and ambitions, and achievable goals; Best mental and physical health to work and study; Discipline and Responsibility. 

Scholarship Candidates must submit Scholarship Application for Scholarship Allocation Process. 

Article 5. Scholarship Type

According to Scholarship Candidate Application in Scholarship Allocation Process and Competency-based Interview Report results, s/he shall be offered a 70-100% scholarship.

A candidate receiving a scholarship of under 70%, is not allowed to enter the programs.

Article 6. Scholarship Allocation Process

Step 1: Navigate Scholarship and Study Program: Scholarship Information and Application Submission with support from EAS Vietnam Scholarship Office. 

Step 2: Scholarship Interview.

Step 3: Scholarship Application and Interview Results. Candidate’s Confirmation.

Step 4: Complete the admission procedure. Start the study program.

Article 7. Application

After the submission of EAS Vietnam International Scholarship Application Form (by EAS Vietnam International Scholarship Office), documents asked to be made in applications are as follows:

a. Identity Card Copy,

b. 3x4 portrait photo (solid white background, showing ear, no accessories),

c. Degrees, Diplomas or Certificates relevant (if any),

d. Other documents asked by the Scholarship Office.

Article 8. Benefits and Responsibilities of Scholarship Student

1. Benefits 

Scholarship Students are allowed to:

a. Demand on access to EAS Vietnam International Scholarship Information, 

b. Navigate scholarship according to personal goals and competencies,

c. Request answers regarding scholarship information and study programs.

2. Responsibilities

Scholarship candidates are required to:

a. Ensure the accuracy and updates to any personal data provided,

b. Ensure compliance with the regulations and instructions to receive a scholarship,

c. Complete payment of the Scholarship (if any). Scholarship after being successfully granted. No refund of tuition fees in any cases.

Article 9. Responsibilities of EAS Vietnam International Scholarship Office

EAS Vietnam International Scholarship Office is required to:

a. Give the best-detailed instructions on Scholarship Information and study programs for Scholarship Candidates in Scholarship Application Assessment,

b. Provide regulations, sample forms and instructions properly for Scholarship Candidates in Scholarship Allocation Process,

c. Give the Candidate the exact answer and solution regarding the scholarship,

d. Arrange scholarship interview schedule and announce the final result,

e. Issue scholarship certificates to Scholarship Students according to the regulations.

Article 10. Scholarship Rejection

Scholarship Candidates shall be rejected if there is any of:

a. Fraudulent application,

b. Dishonesty or unprofessional attitude (lack of goodwill) in behaving or working with/towards the Scholarship Office, regulations and requirements,

c. Data provided inaccurate but the Candidate refused updates,

d. Scholarship used for a different purpose.

Article 11. Scholarship Withdrawal Request

Given Scholarship shall be withdrawn if Scholarship Student:

a. Does not complete admission procedure,

b. Violates Education & Training Regulations for rejection,

c. Has behaviors violating the law of Vietnam or/and internationally. (Scholarship Withdraw Request depending on the seriousness of the violation).

EAS Vietnam International Scholarship Office shall send the Student Announcement on Scholarship Withdrawal.

Article 12. Administration Provisions

This Regulation enters into force on the date it is signed. On the validity period of scholarship programs 2022-2025, adjustments and supplementation of these regulations shall be made by EAS Vietnam International Scholarship Office annually, according to new updates from EAS Vietnam or Vietnam Government.
